Neah’s Story

Neah grew up in Northern, Virginia and spent most her childhood exploring the history museums of Washington, DC and running track and field. She graduated from Spelman College with a B.A. in political science and in the midst of the pandemic, she was accepted to complete her Master’s Degree at Johns Hopkins University, which she will continue remotely this winter. Today, she works as a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft HQ with a focus on US Immigration and data analytics. When she’s not at work, she’s usually planning DIY projects, popping in and out of her favorite Seattle flower shops, and trying to convince Geoff to get another dog.

Geoff’s Story

Geoffrey was born in east Tennessee and spent much of his life in Bloomington, Indiana. After completing undergrad at Ball State University, he joined the Peace Corps and taught chemistry in Mozambique. When he returned to the US, he moved to Bethesda, MD to work at the National Institutes of Health where he researched influenza and coronavirus vaccine development. He is now working toward his PhD in Immunology at the University of Washington’s School of Medicine. When he’s not in the lab, Geoff can usually be found playing guitar or exploring Discovery Park with the couple’s greyhound, Ophelia.

Their Story

Geoff and Neah’s modern love story began in April 2017 after they both swiped right on Tinder. They hit it off immediately, bonding over their love of road trips, food, family, friends, and all things DIY. Two years later on their anniversary, they got engaged at Bartholdi park in Washington, DC. They’ve supported each other through thick and thin, made wonderful memories, and continue to enjoy one adventure after the next. Now, after four years together, one pandemic, one adorable dog, and a cross-country move later, they’re tying the knot and hope you’ll join them in Miami to celebrate and make even more amazing memories at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
